The pool was lovely and having a kitchenette a full size fridge were great. We had a suite but didn't need it as the rooms were big. Breakfast was excellent. It was good to be close to the Teno mountains and the hotel had a free map with suggested walks.
The hotel was run for Germans who liked walking and we were the only non German residents. Not a problem for us but the hotel was not very spanish.

My husband and I stayed just one night at Hotel Luz Del Mar (we were on holiday in the south of the island) but found the staff to be both friendly and extremely helpful to the extent that the beauty therapist stayed after her evening shift to give me a foot massage on what was a very painful heel. The room was spotless and the swimming pool divine after a very hot day. We enjoyed the a la carte menu in the dining room.

All the hotel staffs we met were very helpful and friendly, though one could not speak much English. Very nice suite, hotel guests took consideration to others, so it was very quiet at night, we had good sleep! Really appreciate it! Food at the restaurant were really good, much better than many 5 star hotels ever been. Though waiters mainly speak German, but they were very friendly and helpful. Hotel design is very stylish, different from nowadays’ boring block building hotels. Hotel is very close to the beach, though there are many stones on the beach, we feel it is the best beach in Tenerife, we did not get much sand with us in the car (the sand is very rough in Tenerife, it is not pleasant), and there were not many people there. Compared with the nosiy southern tourism area with many people who just want to cheat you with money (no matter taxi or local shops or car rental company goldcar), we really enjoyed the stay and trip in this hotel in northwest.

In terms of facilities, the hotel had a beautiful landscaped garden and a large swimming pool, which was solar heated and even lit up at night. We enjoyed taking a dip in the pool after dark, it was quite an experience. The hotel also had a nice breakfast area with a view over the pool and the sunrise behind it. The restaurant offered a variety of delicious meals, although we personally found the marriachi band a bit too much.

The staff were very helpful. The landscaped gardens were delightful. A nice big swimming pool-solar heated and floodlit ( we even swam after dark!)
Perhaps a little more notices in English in addition to German and Spanish. We had to request gates at the top of the hill, where we were positioned in our bungalow, be opened in the morning inorder to load up our car(we had been told that they would be open from around 7.00am)

Very clean, nice pool. But the pool is advertised as heated, which is questionable.
The website is misleading. Not all rooms have a sea view. Ours was on the street and was very noisy. The hotel is not in the town, so you must have a car. Also, the bar and restaurant have limited hours, so if you like to sip cocktails by the pool look elsewhere. Hot tub not usable.
